Golf Des Iles Borromées

Golf Des Iles Borromées

The course

Golf Des Iles Borromées has a strategic position. Situated on the hills above Stresa it is easily reachable from Milan (80 km), from the Swiss border (30 km) and from the Malpensa Airport (45 km). The highway (A26 Milano – Laghi) has an exit (Carpugnino) at less than two km from the Course. Situated in an enchanting landscape, the Course has some exceptional views of the Swiss Alps and of the Ticino Plain.

From the 18th tee you can often see the skyline of Milan and four lakes: Lake Maggiore, Lake Varese, Lake Monate and Lake Comabbio. A Course built in a natural and uncontaminated environment and situated 500 meters above sea level, with a southerly exposure, fresh in summer and sunny in winter.

But above all you will be enchanted by natural flora. The silver birches follow the players along the entire Course; you will also find Pine, Fir and Larch together with Oak, Holm Oak and Chestnut trees with the particular Thuyas of Mikado along the 12th hole. Rhododendrons and azaleas in spring, brooms in summer and heaths in autumn complete the typical prealpi landscape with some areas protected with an environmental bond.

More than golf in Piedmont

Golf Rivers and lakes

Piedmont is not on the seaside, but the sea is not essential to enjoy watersports. The Po, the most famous Italian river has its source in Piedmont, and hundreds of torrents and streams of water flow through the region.

Golf and Hills

Covering the hilly paths and roads of Piemonte means travelling far away from noise, immersed in a world of harmony and uncontaminated nature.

Golf and Cities

More than 1,206 of Italy’s 8,101 ‘comuni’ (towns) can be found within the borders of Piemonte; of these, over 600 have less than 1,000 inhabitants.

Golf and culture

Piemonte is rich in cultural, historical and artistic itineraries, crossing several centuries and covering each aspect of the region

Golf and Food & Wine

The food and wine tradition of Piemonte enjoys international fame, so much so that in restaurant rankings and in food and wine guides, the region always takes the top spots

Golf and Mountains

There is no better place to unwind and have fun than in the mountains of Piedmont.
