About us…
Trieste Golf Club was the first club in Friuli Venezia Giulia set up by allied troops right after the Second World War, and celebrated 50 years since its foundation in 2005.
The course, just a few minutes away from the Slovenian border, overlooks the delightful panorama of the Gulf of Trieste; the 17th hole, which appears to have its green hanging over the sea, offers magnificent views sweeping from the Lagoon of Grado and Lignano as far as the Istrian coast. The entire course with 5,810 metres for an overall par 70, perfectly positioned between the steep hills of the Carso plateau surrounded by oak trees and Mediterranean fir trees, is not, at first sight, a trail that inspires fear but should certainly not be taken lightly.
Technique, precision and concentration are essential on the narrower holes, full of traps and impossible roughs especially when the Bora wind is blowing from the gulf making the course even more difficult.
