Il Picciolo Etna Golf Resort is located in a beautiful area of the Etna National Park. Situated on the gentle slopes of the lower part of the volcano, the hotel is surrounded by typical Mediterranean scrub landscape including gnarled olive trees, hazelnut trees and rows of vineyards. Apart from the resort’s 98 rooms the complex also features a restaurant and a wellness centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness centre and a golf clubhouse with restaurant, pro shop, golf bag storage area, changing rooms and a wonderful 18 hole golf course. Il Picciolo was the first golf course to have opened in Sicily and was designed by Luigi Rota Caremoli. Marvellous views of Etna enhance the landscape and the golf course offers a very picturesque panorama of the surrounding countryside. The fact that the resort is situated at 650 metres above sea level ensures that the temperatures remain pleasantly cool during the heat of the summer and mild in the winter.
