Golf Des Iles Borromées has a strategic position. Situated on the hills above Stresa it is easily reachable from Milan (80 km), from the Swiss border (30 km) and from the Malpensa Airport (45 km). The highway (A26 Milano – Laghi) has an exit (Carpugnino) at less than two km from the Course. Situated in an enchanting landscape, the Course has some exceptional views of the Swiss Alps and of the Ticino Plain. From the 18th tee, you can often see the skyline of Milan and four lakes: Lake Maggiore, Lake Varese, Lake Monate and Lake Comabbio.

A Course built in a natural and uncontaminated environment and situated 500 meters above sea level, with a southerly exposure, fresh in summer and sunny in winter. But above all, you will be enchanted by natural flora. The silver birches follow the players along the entire Course; you will also find Pine, Fir and Larch together with Oak, Holm Oak and Chestnut trees with the particular Thuyas of Mikado along the 12th hole. Rhododendrons and azaleas in spring, brooms in summer and heaths in autumn complete the typical prealps landscape with some areas protected with an environmental bond.

Within the Club you will find a driving range, a putting green and a chipping green, a well-supplied Pro-shop, a comfortable restaurant just refurbished, with an excellent cuisine, changing rooms, lockers, and showers. You will also find, to complete our services, numerous electric golf carts, trolleys, and golf sets for hire. Two valid pro-teachers are present to supply lessons on request. The Golf Club Des Iles Borromées is open all year round except for January. We are closed on Mondays during the autumn winter from April to October included we are open seven days a week.

The Course Par 72 has been designed to suit the natural environment in which it has been placed. The obstacles in every hole are not built, but have been there for centuries and used to create an amusing and also challenging course. Each hole has its own beauty, the shortest hole (hole 14) for example is a par 3 of 150 meters uphill and the green is well protected by bunkers, the longest par 5 (hole 3) is 525 meters and is reachable in two shots only by the more powerful players.

In more than 30 year it has hosted thousands of tournaments from our weekly social events to important tournaments, pro-am ad two Alps Tours Grand Final in 20017 2018.
