Piedmont

Considering the art and architecture, history and culture, legend and tradition, and sites of natural beauty, you are really spoiled for choice.

Once in Torino we can promise you history and culture: along its streets, squares, Royal Residences and elegant historical cafés you will breathe the atmosphere of its royal past, home to the House of Savoy. You can become engrossed in the many museums including the new Egyptian Museum, the National Museum of Cinema and the National Automobile Museum, in addition to the ‘Royal Hub’ next to prestigious institutions dedicated to contemporary art. There’s the opportunity to savour the area’s rich cuisine, its great wines, chocolate, and not forgetting the Torino ritual of aperitif time. And yet these are just some of the attractions that our city is able to offer.

But Torino is also an outstanding starting point for discovering Piemonte, a must-see for everyone who wants a holiday that satisfies all the senses: the multitude of naturally, artistically and architecturally beautiful places in the territory is matched by a rich ‘basket’ of highest quality gastronomy products such as the wine, truffle, rice and chocolate, renowned around the world.

Those wanting relaxation and recreation can find all opportunities available in every season, from sports holidays in the impressive mountains to the possibility of securing bargains in the outlet villages, the modern development of the factory shops, or in the many local markets and traditional shops.

A territory made unique by the great variety of landscapes ranging from mountains to lakes, hills to plains, cities of art to historic villages, Royal Residences to Sacred Mountains that have been recognised by UNESCO and, since 2014, also the wine-growing areas of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato: this is one of the most spectacular sceneries offered by Piemonte, where the beauty of nature is combined with the skilful work of Man over the centuries, giving rise to excellent products such as the fine Barolo, Nebiolo and Barbaresco wines. The area is also renowned for the breeding of high quality Piemonte cattle, as well as being the source of the highly precious white truffle of Alba, appreciated worldwide.

The lakes are the high point, always a strong attraction to foreign tourists: the main one is Lake Maggiore with its stately villas and breathtaking gardens set within the picturesque Borromee Islands, and then Lake Orta with the beautiful island of San Giulio. The tourism offer comes in many different forms, ranging from hospitality at spas to a busy calendar of music festivals and theatre.

Torino and Piemonte: every trip is an event… all year round!

More than golf in Piedmont

Golf Rivers and lakes

Piedmont is not on the seaside, but the sea is not essential to enjoy watersports. The Po, the most famous Italian river has its source in Piedmont, and hundreds of torrents and streams of water flow through the region.

Golf and Hills

Covering the hilly paths and roads of Piemonte means travelling far away from noise, immersed in a world of harmony and uncontaminated nature.

Golf and Cities

More than 1,206 of Italy’s 8,101 ‘comuni’ (towns) can be found within the borders of Piemonte; of these, over 600 have less than 1,000 inhabitants.

Golf and culture

Piemonte is rich in cultural, historical and artistic itineraries, crossing several centuries and covering each aspect of the region

Golf and Food & Wine

The food and wine tradition of Piemonte enjoys international fame, so much so that in restaurant rankings and in food and wine guides, the region always takes the top spots

Golf and Mountains

There is no better place to unwind and have fun than in the mountains of Piedmont.
