The course

Udine Golf Club with its splendid 18 holes on the hillside backdrop of century old oaks, beech trees and wild cherry trees, is located just 5 km from San Daniele and one hour by car from Venice. Founded in 1972, the Championship golf course, that is located in Fagagna at the heart of the Friulian Morainic Hills just 18km from Udine, carefully combines the pleasure of playing golf with an unique, relaxing landscape. Next September Udine Golf Club will host again the Senior Italian Open.

Over the years the 9 hole course, originally designed by architects John Harris and Marco Croze, was completed by the latter bringing it to its present day 18 holes harmoniously blended into 60 hectares. The competition course is a Par 72 and undoubtedly a difficult one, especially due to the numerous natural obstacles located along the 6000m course. The course has attained the GEO Certification and the driving range has been recently renovated for golf clinics and golf lessons.
Udine Golf Club manages to offer truly emotional perspectives and panoramas that are wholly unique. There is a very pleasant clubhouse with two large renovated terraces and several lovely appointed dining rooms.

To the golf course belongs the new Villaverde Hotel & Resort Wellness Spa & Golf, new opening in February 2016, designed to blend in with its landscape and the overall building is to be considered eco-sustainable. Wellness area with pool, Tee time and golf lessons reservation. Villaverde Resort and its Villaverde Institute of Performance (VIP), a state-of-the-art facility, offer to golfers of all abilities the ultimate golf training experience.
